WORD for Today!!

Good Morning everyone!!! Today is going to be an excellent day!!!! Remember, that in all situations, Jesus is Lord!! He loves you and is pleased with you!!!! Seek Him in all that you do today!! During this WLS journey, I believe that God is wanting to settle us down, get us focused on him and have us be quiet before him. It seems like these days, there are so many distractions, busy work, commitments etc. Now is there anything wrong with this? No, I believe that one of the wonderful results of WLS is that it causes us to focus on taking care of ourselves and getting better, so that we can begin to do that which God has called us to do. We are able to do more things, which is wonderful to an extent. Before WLS, many of us have been focused on others, that we have neglected ourselves and have neglected taking care of that which God has given us, our bodies. He wants to prioritize our lives. Get things right. That means he is trying to shake off that which is not important and than reorganize our lives into what He would have us be doing. Hebrews 12:26-29, Then [at Mount Sinai] His voice shook the earth, but now He has given a promise: Yet once more I will shake and make tremble not only the earth but also the [starry] heavens. Now this expression, Yet once more, indicates the final removal and transformation of all [that can be] shaken--that is, of that which has been created--in order that what cannot be shaken may remain and continue. Let us therefore, receiving a kingdom that is firm and stable and cannot be shaken, offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship, with modesty and pious care and godly fear and awe; For our God [is indeed] a consuming fire. I know for myself, I would be sooo involved with different ministries, peoples lives, taking care of others that over time, I became the last priority in my life. I suffered. My health suffered from being too busy and stressed. I wasn't truly happy. My priorities were off. I wasn't living up to the potential God had for me. In fact, I will be bold enough to say that God had taken a second seat to all that I was doing. I was too busy doing stuff for God that I wasn't having him be the first priority in my life!! Are there things in your life that are causing you to not focus on him? Are you weighed down by having too many things distracting you?? I encourage you today to take the time, pray and decide which is really important in your life to be doing and that which can be done another time. Are your priorities right? Are there things that have taken a back seat to more important areas? I believe that when you take a hard look at all that you are doing, you will see how busy you are!! I know once you prioritize that which is important, you will see how much peace and joy you have. Make sure you are taking care of you!!! Afterall, thats why we had this surgery. To make sure that our health would get in order, so that we can be here for others!!! My prayer for you today is that you would remember to take time for the Lord, then take time for yourself! Once you have done this, you will be able to help others in your life more effectiviely!! I Love you all!! Lucy
