Tell the People He said, "Go and tell the people: Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing but never perceiving." (Isaiah 6:9) Israel knew about God; yet they rejected Him. Israel heard the prophecies of the coming Messiah; yet they did not acknowledge Him. Israel saw the hand of God on their lives; yet they turned their backs on Him. Therefore, God sent Isaiah to go and tell the people about their upcoming judgment. God's ought against Israel was that they heard and refused to understand. They saw and turned a blind eye to what they saw. Like Israel, sometimes we hear the word of God and witness His miracles; yet we neglect to turn toward Him. When people continue to refuse to apply God's word to their lives, then God applies righteous judgment by taking away the ability to hear His still small voice and the ability to see His work in the world. Are you hearing but not understanding? Are you seeing but not perceiving? Perhaps God has withdrawn your ability to do so because you have rejected Him. Repent and get back into right relationship with God so that you can hear and understand; so that you can see and perceive. < Living Healthy Quiz 46 - The Germiest Places The germiest places among us might surprise you!
