WORD for Today!!

Good Morning everyone!!!!! I KNOW you are having an awesome weekend!!!! Today I wanted to share with you some thing that is EXCITING TO ME!!!! You see, as we go on in this life after WLS, We are being changed by HIM!!! Inside and out!!! AMEN!! God has BIG Plans for US and These scriptures have not only encouraged me, but gave me hope as to what is to come!! The message this morning is in the WORD itself, Isaiah 61:1-3: "The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion-- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor." NIV WOOHOO!!!!!!!!! Doesn't this excite you?? That God is going to deliver you from your situations, set you free, heal you and as a added bonus, you get beauty, joy, gladness and a garment of praise!! God is turning your situation around, healing you, setting you free and then people will look at you and say, "LOOK WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE!" Look at yourselves in the mirror, I don't know about you but when I see your post-op pics, the word that comes to mind is BEAUTIFUL!!! Now, not only is God replacing your sadness, mourning, depression, hurt with joy unspeakable, gladness,peace, happiness, he is also restoring you (rebuilding)!! Isaiah 61:7, it reads "Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs" NIV God says we will get a double portion of blessing for those things/troubles we have endured!! AMEN!! Not only are we getting our lives back physcially, but God is giving us other things in our lives that we may not have had before this surgery. Like a new job, new relationships, new promotions, new locations etc!! SO I encourage you all today to be excited about what happening in your life!! I know that there are those facing tough situations, but remember God Is in control and You really are becoming stronger in HIM!!! He will see you through!! I DO believe you will be blessed for everything you are going through!! OK I need to stop, LOL, I meant for this to be short, but I could keep going on and on, LOL!!! Until tomorrow!! Amen Lucy. What an awesome time of reflection on the Word. God is doing exciting things in my life, physically with my body, and in my career and in my family. He is so good to me. Hugs, Trish
