Have any of you had days where it feels impossible to eat or feel naseated? I am 8 weeks out and barely eating solids because I hate the way it feels and I can only eat about 4 bites so I been drinking alot of protien shakes to make sure I get my protien in. Anyone have this problem? Trish

Morning Trish - I would call your surgeon's office and let them know that you are going through this. Initially at 8 weeks I didn't feel like eating either but its a slow process and sip, sip, sippin' is important. What types of foods are you eating? Are you putting enough time in between eating and drinking??? I ask because you could still be full from your protein drinking/sips of other drinks. Prayers coming your way.... Kat

HI Trish, I really didn't enjoy eating or feel like eating till around month 4. I did eat a lot of soft foods like cottage cheese, ricotta cheese with spaghetti sauce - things like that. Mostly because they just felt better in the old pouch and the other foods made me sick. I am fne now with just about anything. Sometimes I feel that people push to quickly through those first 3-4 months and don't give their bodies enough healing time. Sometimes this is due to our "love affair" with food so try to work through some of those issues early. Watch the amount of protein shakes - high in calories in many instances and those are liquid calories which can be processed faster than chewed calories. Try some other protein subs such as cottage cheese, or ricotta cheese. I loved raviolis before surgery and a little ricotta with bit of jar sauce on it has a great deal of protein, will feel good on the tummy and give you that feeling of full better. Love Sally
