Whats in your house?? I know for myself, that This next year, some exciting things are going to happen! Do YOU know that God has planned for you to have an exciting year! One of the things I have been slowly working on and will be more dillegent about when I am up to it, is cleaning out my house!! You see, I have accumulated a lot of "stuff" over the past years, especially from college and up. I have inherited others belongings and all this is either with me or in storage. I have to sort through this in order to go on in the next season of my life! I have for too long been hauling this stuff around making moving a more difficult task and I have decided when I make my move to make it as easy as possible! Now You may be thinking, what!! Your house isn't clean!! Your a pack rat!! LOL Well thats not what I mean. I mean getting rid of those things that I no longer use, have no need for or am pretty much holding onto for memory reasons. Not saying this is a bad thing, but God has really placed this on my heart to do! I know I have to do, but part of me really doesn't really want to until I realized the significance of this. If your house or person, is full of old, used, rusty stuff and its completely full, how can God bless you and give you new, better, fulfilling things?? Theres no room for them! Sooo....part of the process of renewing your mind, your being is getting rid of the old and replacing it with the new on a dialy basis! Romas 12:2 reads "Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. (Amp Bible) Yes it may be difficult to let things go or to surrender things to God, but once you finally do. He replaces them with far better, greater blessings than you can imagine! A good example of this is in Luke 5:36-38, it reads, "He told them this parable: "No one tears a patch from a new garment and sews it on an old one. If he does, he will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old. And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins." (NIV) How do you do this?? By praying, reading and hearing God's word, spending time with God and fellowshiping with other believers. If you have had some painful experiences, this can apply as well, God wants to replace those painful thoughts with Scripture and positive thoughts! Amen!! My prayer for all of you is that you will be blessed beyond measure, prosper in all that you do, have peace beyond comprehension, healing throughout your body, clarity in your thoughts and decisons, wisdom from God in all of your situations and that you would recieve the desires of your heart!! Amen!! God Bless and Hugs!! Lucy
