Letting go AND Letting God!

Hi everyone!!!! Praise God!!! I am so thankful for this board and all of you precious people!!! I hope that you had a blessed day!! Letting go of those things in our lives and Letting God take care of them is one of the hardest things to do as a christian! In order to do this you have to be able to trust God completely!!! Not half way, or a quarter of the way, but with ALL of your being! When you let go of something and give it to God, you can't hang onto it and let go at the same time, it doesn't work that way. Because ultimately, you are still holding onto it. "What if I keep my little pinky on it, God still has most of it and I am just touching it a tiny bit." NOPE, it doesn't work this way either. You see when you let go of something, you are really surrendering it to God, giving Him control! In a way you are saying, "God I give this situation, issue to you completely and I acknowledge that I, in my power, have no way of resolving this issue, Lord I let go of it and let you do with it what you desire!" Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." So how do you Let go of something or issue?? I often asked this very question, because I really wanted a physical example of people doing this. Well we know that this impossible to do. No one can physically show us. The only thing that can be an example is giving an object to someone else and physically letting go. But its more than this, when you are emotionally, trying to let go of something, its takes your whole being to do this. I was praying about this one day and then God, in His simplicity, showed me what to do in one simple phrase. When you let go of an issue, you are excepting the truth of it and this sets you free!!!! Powerful!! In John 8:32, "And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free." You may be thinking, What?? How?? What do you mean?? For example, If you are faced with an issue/situation, You have to get to a place where you realize that there is absolutely nothing you can do to fix the problem, nothing at all, then you except the truth that the situations is completely out of your control and this truth sets you free to release it to God. The truth is that there is nothing you can do in your own power to fix it!!! It can only be God who does this!!!! When this happens, then God takes care of it!!! If you are facing a situation right now that seems impossible to change, or fix. Let it go, release it, give it to God completely!! He WILL take care of it!! We just have to let it go to Him!!! Lucy, Thanks for that today. We are going through a situation that is exactly that. We are having to let go and let God. The only thing I can do in this our situation though is pray. Shel
