Good am all, I have been in soul search/self reflection mode for quite a bit of time now and am finding all sorts of "helpers" along the way. Something I read just keeps sticking with me. Often times in our lives we ourselves and others we speak with/to are going through fighting demons if you will and struggling to make the better choice versus one that we have made before only to find a repeat pattern that leaves us troubled. The power of prayer is so amazing and I've been praying for many things and one thing is that I might be able to merely REFLECT on the past yet not repeat those choices/actions. I'm on an amazing journey which I finally see/get that the past is something that shapes us into the person we are today. It teaches us lessons good and bad so that we might learn from those lessons and move on making better choices for a healthier happier future. So, when we, I, you are faced with say drinking issues, food issues, relationship issues...in fact no matter that issue giving it to God is truly a way to get it off our chests and allow God to work his ways in our everyday lives. Every day is another chance to get things right! Take a read here and let me know what you think.... New Every Morning Today's Scripture "His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness" (Lamentations 3:22-23 NASB). You may have done something last week or last month that you're not particularly happy about, but the good news is you don't have to carry that around with you. That's part of what the Scripture means when it says that God's mercies are new every morning. God's mercy and forgiveness are available to you each and every day. His compassions never fail. That means that as soon as you call on Him and repent and change your ways, God pours out His compassion and forgiveness. Simply open your heart and receive it. You can have a new beginning every single day! Do you feel like there's something between you and God right now? Take a moment and call on His faithfulness. Call on His mercy. Ask for His forgiveness. Don't waste another moment in the past. Let Him refresh and restore your soul right now. Praise Him and thank Him for the work He is doing in your life and enjoy a fresh new beginning today! A Prayer for Today God, I don't want to go through another day dragging the weight of the past. Thank You for opening the door of that prison and setting me free. Help me to claim and enjoy Your new mercies each day. In Jesus' Name. Amen. ***Just a reminder that talking to God is easier than we think huh? Hugs & all best - Kat
