Praise God my brother got out of the hospital
Today. He has a cast like thing on his neck, but no spinal damage or anything permanent. I hope this wakes him up. We just started our men's dream center at my church and he needs to be there so badly. He knows God, but meth is his god when he is out of prison (hes been in 3 times) and with his old friends. Thank you for your prayers and please keep praying for him.
Praise the Lord indeed. I'll continue to pray that he will change his ways also. Let this be a wake up call to him. I understand your frustration, my meth addicted relative has been in county jail too many times to count and neither of her children or the rest of the family has anything to do with her. It's just too difficult, like living with someone who is seriously mentally ill and won't get treatment. I wish other people understood how truely evil meth is. It's like no other drug I have ever known about, even worse than heroin I think. Stay strong in the Lord and know I am praying for you and him. Karen
Good Morning Amy,
Praise the Lord for your brother's health not being as serious as it could be. I understand how addictions can be so nasty. I am a recovering alcoholic. I also have a son who went through a really bad heroin addiction, but now he is drinking alcohol instead.
There is a group for people who care about addicts. It is called Nar-Anon. You can probably find a meeting online if you search. There you can get suppport and encouragement on how to detach, with love.
Most importantly, he needs the Lord to change his heart.
Hugs,
Trish
