I'm home and doing fine
Just wanted to let you all know that all went well with my surgery on Monday. I came home Tuesday evening and feeling very good, I do have some pains from the gas, but that is basically it. Thank you to everyone who prayed for me and my surgery, the surgeon was very pleased with how things went, he said it took approx. 45 mins. and mine was about one of the easiest ones he did! Praise God! I will be home allowing myself to heal for another week, but don't know how much I wil be online. I will definitely keep you all posted on my progress as much as I can.
My prayer request now is to be able to get through these next few weeks w/o food, while my family still eating, this is very difficult for me.
Talk to you all soon!
Hi Donna,
So happy that you are home. I remember those first few weeks and it was hard to see other people eat. Life for them had not changed forever, but for me I was "different". Tahnkfully I found that my head hunger - and that is all it was - was not as strong as the Lord. When ever I found my self feeling sad and deprived I would force myself to take a walk with God. I would walk down the streets singing praise songs and by the time I got back the head hunger was put away for a while and I was much happier. Now - 7 months post op - 125+ lbs lighter - I still take that walk with God when the temptations become to big. Sometimes that walk is just to sit here at my computer and read posts from all my friends. Sometimes it is a trip to the mall to see all the new clothes I can wear (I don't buy them any more - grow out of them too fast!!) Now I eat with my family - I am just more carefull about my food choices. It will come with patience and practice. Enjoy your new journey. Love Sally
