This must be the downside of losing 75 lbs I can't tell my husband that I CAN"T work...I still have 225lbs to lose (man that number is intimidating), but I COULD work. Soooo.. I' think I am going to apply to be a substitute teacher at a local school. They keep you pretty busy and I only need to make a few hundred a month. Its one of those-we have enough money to pay the bills right now but not much more. Please pray for me that I choose the right school to apply at as there are several that are within a 20 mile radius(which isn't far in the country). Also my son is going to preschool this year and it is only half a day so I am not sure about the logistica of it all. Ive tried for 2 years to substitute at my kids school but they called me once and I was sick that day so I guess they do not intend on calling again (its only .4 miles from my house). Anyway please pray that it will all work out. Also-please do not think I have abandoned you all if I am gone foe a bit. Right now I am sitting in 98 degree temperature in my office because our air is out and we do not have te money to fix it. A lot of days I just don't get on-line. God Bless you all and hugs-Amy BTW-I havent worked in 11 years, but I do have a college degree to teach English...

Amy, Do you have a community college close by? English instructors are often difficult to find for them. The hours usually pretty flexible. Also, have you thought about teaching on-line classes? It might be the best of both worlds. Annette

Amy, I did substitute teaching at the beginning of my career, and I hated it. But then, I am not crazy about regular teaching. I love my social work job, but am not crazy about teaching. That said, I will pray that you find just the right subbing job and that you get called as much as is needed for your family's needs. I also pray for the logistics concerning your preschooler. My daughter is a reading specialist and had a baby 9 weeks ago. She is going back to work part time, basically job sharing. She will teach the Title I program two and a half days a week. That will help her family keep their medical benefts, as my son-in-law's job does not have medical benefits. I am so happy for you with your weight loss. Keep up the great work. Hugs, Trish
