Well, a new development, and I desperately need your prayers again. The kids have decided not to abort the baby. But this young mother's parents have both (they are divorced) told her that if she goes ahead with the pregnancy, she has to leave. She is an only child and for some reason, these parents are not willing to support her decision. They plan to place the baby for adoption (praise God ten thousand times for answers to that prayer) but she is going to have no place to live, now or after the birth. Unless her parents change their minds. These kids are not old enough nor are they mature enough to marry and try to raise this child. He just graduated from high school and she is a junior. He has asked if she can stay with my husband and me for a while. His parents (our daughter and her husband) are not willing to let her stay with them either. I'm not even sure they are supporting their decision not to abort the baby either. They feel like they are all alone, but my husband and I are not in great health (him especially) and I'm not sure he can go through this emotionally again. PLEASE help us pray that we will do what Jesus would have us do. My heart tells me one thing and my head tells me another. Thanks again for your support and your prayers. JudieB

Judie, I have a few things to say that may or may not help. First, I would immediately contact Crisis Pregnancy Center, CityTeam Ministries, Catholic Charities and the National Right To Life. One of those organizations should be able to help you with finding a place for her to live. Here in California we have several homes that are run by churches and Right to Life groups that take in young gals such as this girl. I am sure that your area probably has such a place. If not, please contact me immediately and I will see what I can find for you. 2nd, if all else fails, I am willing to take this girl in. She would need to move to Cailifornia , but we can certainly help if she is truely looking to do the right thing. Let me know if I can be of help further. I will look into some possiblities for you when I get home tonight. Love Sally and Praise the Lord in all things.

Judie, The Lord wanted me to do this search now. Here is a link to some resources in your state of North Carolina. http://www.ramahinternational.org/north-carolina.html This site offers over 20 locations that can help. Let me know if you need anything else. Sally

thank you so much, Sally. (BTW, I just read your profile....our surgery dates are one day apart! Mine was January 8, 2007. How are you doing with your weight loss? I am down about 90 pounds (goes up and down depending on what I've eaten the day before) I am a little frustrated that it's not more than that, and VERY grateful that I have been able to lose the 90 pounds. I guess, because of my age, (61) I am wanting the weight to come off really fast. One of my best friends had her surgery the week after Thanksgiving and she has lost 122 pounds. She was a good bit taller than me, but weighed about 35 pounds more when we started. I know we're not supposed to do it, but I do compare myself to her. And feel very envious that her's is moving faster than mine, and she doesn't exercise AT ALL!!! Anyway, thanks again for all those resource centers. We have just realized that since she is only 16, her parents have to sign permission for her to go somewhere else. And at this point, I don't think they will do that. THey are bound and determined to FORCE her into an abortion. Please pray that they will be led by the Holy Spirit and change their minds. Thanks again, JudieB

I am pretty sure that even in the state of North Carolina no one can force a person to have an abortion against their will. I would still contact the resources on that list and see what options can be made available to her and her family. Ultimately it will take a miracle for this baby to make it, but we are all miracles. As for my WL - well I am down about 115 lbs. I am 53 so it has come off pretty easy for me considering my age. I am at about 171 lbs. My body tells me I have about 40 more lbs to lose and I know that I will have to ramp up the excersise if I want it to happen. Take care and try not to compare yourself to others - very ego building or demoralizing - depending on who you compare to. Sally
