Don't let the devil distract you

I wanted to share with you all. I had a rough morning, lots of stress and distractions leading me to be in a BAD mood and crying for about an hour. BUT I just had to start praising God and thanking Him. I know the devil was trying to get me off focus so I can worry, and be in a bad mood which causes Jesus light not to shine through me. I just want you all to know to PRESS through whatever you are going through and do not settle b/c God has an ordained place for you. Continue on even if you get comfortable continue to press and be ever increasing and abounding. Thank God for the peace and strength needed for your life journey.

I never understood the meaning of "the sacrifice of praise" until I was in a similar situation. In the flesh I felt terrible at the time and wanted to just complain and cry, but like you I began to praise God even though at first it was hard because I wanted to feel sorry for myself. As I praise God though, a sweet peace came over me and my mood changed and I was able to fellowship with God. Thank you for reminding me of this. Its easy for me to just feel sorry for myself, but that's not God's best for me nor mine for Him.

I remember when I was a baby Christian I learned that God inhabits our praise. So, when I am praising Him, I am chasing the devil away from me. That is why I love to play praise music when I am driving, it gives me an opportunity to fellowship with God. Thanks for reminding me. Hugs, Trish

Thanks for the post, I know how it feels being so overwhelmed and focusing on the bad when you know God has done so many great things in our lives. I find myself having to apologize to him for my out bursts, I guess it's all part of being human. Cindy
