I thought since there are many of us flocking to this forum it would be great for everyone to introduce themselves in one message. My name is Terisa and I am married with 4 kids ages 16, 11,3,2. I work as a software testing engineer, studying to become a psychotherapist. I hope to complete my Masters and practicum next year. I am also Catholic. Several years ago I really did not have any religious preference. I had not been raised that way at all. Then I went to a Catholic funeral mass and feel in love. I was home. I converted shortly after and have loved every moment of it. For a while my major is college was theology to become a chaplain in hospitals. I absolutly love the study, but knew that as a chaplain my assistance to others was limited. I wanted to be more of a part of their lives and their journey through life, which is why I switched my major. Now I will be a psychotherast and specialize in bereavement. I cannot wait to hear from others on this forum. I would love to hear about your lives and especially how God has blessed you. Peace and many blessings ~ Terisa

Hi there, I'm 56, married, 2 grown children, 6 grand kids and 3 great grands. Happily married almost 22 years. Hubby is retired and I've been fortunate enough to not have to work outside the home. We live in a small community in the Columbia Gorge area of WA state. Attend a Southern Baptist church and I do lots of counted cross stitch, knitting and crocheting. Just live a pretty quiet, peaceful life. Karen

Hello, my name is Shelly and I have been married 19 years and have two daughters ages 14 and 12. I do medical transcription and am fortunate enough to be able to work at home. We are in the process of moving from GA to AL. My hubby lost his job with a company he was with for 10 years. He is an entomologist. He got a job with a pest control company in AL. We have applied for a home loan and are praying we will be able to get one. Right now I am in Arkansas helping take care of my mom. My dh lost his job right before Thanksgiving and then in December we found out my mom had cancer (lymphoma). She is in remission but is struggling with her immune system and has ended up with cytomegalovirus and lost her site in one eye. They are trying to save her other eye. Anyway, it has been a hard 7 months but God has gotten us through. Shel

Hi, I am Trish, and I have been here for a little over a year. I am 49 years old, divorced, mother of three wonderful grown children and grandmother to one adorable baby girl born four weeks ago. I am a middle school teacher in the city of Philadelphia, and also a part time psychotherapist, as I completed a Masters in Social Work two years ago. In my spare time I crochet and read. I always wanted to be a therapist, but took a side road into education during my marriage. After my divorce, I went back to school and am transitioning into psychotherapy gradually. I love it. I work part time in a psychiatric hospital. I used to do outpatient therapy as well, but had to give that job up for a lot of reasons. Hugs, Trish

Hi Trish, What a beautiful baby!! I am guessing you are a very proud grandma. I see you and I have something in common. I am still in the process of completing my masters to become a psychotherapist. It seems like it will never get here. Terisa

Good Morning. I am Sally and my DH is Martin. We have been married for 25 years. We have four sons - Luke, Jordan, Jesse, and Jeremey. They are all married as of 2 weeks ago to wonderful gals who I adore. Jordan made me a grandmother and his name is Dylan ( my little Dyl-Pickle) and Jesse has a son that is due in December. By day I am an insurance agent (I sell health insurance) and by night I serve dinners at a local restaurant. I do that because I enjoy the interaction and it is great excersise without having to go to the gym. I became a Christian 19 years ago and can with deep humility say that the Lord has richly blessed my family. All my sons love the Lord, their wives love the Lord and I can't believe their is a greater blessing than that. I know where they will all be for eternity. I love to use song verses in my posting so with that I will close with this little ditty - " I stand in awe of you - Jesus, yes I stand in awe of you." Sally
