I received a message in voice mail last evening from the HR person....I spent the night praying since I wasn't sure what the outcome would be. I talked to her this morning and I am offered the position....it's a cut in pay, but when I applied, my prayer to God has been that I didn't want it to be about me...I didn't want to base my decision on material gain but rather being where God wanted me to be for His purpose.....Sunday's message was about Gideon and the text in Judges 6-8. The outline was such: I. Our Promise A. God wants to use me. (Eph. 2:10) B. God sees the best in me. (Romans 8:31) (Jeremiah 31:3) C. God meets me where I am. (I Timothy 1:16-17) D. God goes before me. (I Samuel 17:47) II. Our Reponse: A. Be available [to God] (Isaiah 6:8) B. Step Out in faith. (Hebrews 11:5) One of the last statements the pastor made Sunday was: "Faith is not measured by fearlessness.....faith is measured by obedience." Thank you friends for your prayers. luvitsunnyv

Hi Ruthanna! Congrats on the job offer! I have not been here much due to some things going on...but try to read the posts when I can...and knew you were contemplating something different. You know...that God will lead you and place you in the perfect position! He has GREAT plans for you...and I can't wait to hear how he will use you! Love, Stephanie

The cut in pay is meaningless. Do not think of that as settling. So many other factors are so much more important. You already spoke of those in your post. I think you are very grounded in the teaching of the Word and you will be a great asset to the Lord as He continues to build His Kingdom.
