Continued Prayer Needed
Please continue to pray for Bob Bell. He had open heart surgery today to remove clots and a filter that had moved into his coronary arteries. They also removed clots in his pulmonary artery. He is looking at six weeks of recovery. Please also continue to keep his wife, Ruth, in your prayers as she is still battling breast cancer.
Thanks,
Trish Reilly
I will add them both to my prayer list, especially since I have had both of the same problems. Had breast cancer a year ago praise God it was found early and required minor treatment. Also have a genetic disorder with clotting altho never so serious as to require surgery, but do have to take coumadin. They will be in my prayers until further notice. Karen
My mother has Factor V Leiden and my sister, brother and I inherited it from her. My sister survived DVTs and Pulmonary Emboli. My brother, at age 40, did not survive them in October. I have not had them. I do not take an anticoagulant, unless I am having surgery, or traveling a long distance. Then I must inject myself with Lovenox. It is scary stuff. When I had my surgery, I had to get a shot in my abdomen for two weeks. I kept walking, and walking, just to be sure I did not get clots. I am constantly moving.
Thanks for praying for my friend and her husband. He has been in the hospital for over a week now.
Hugs,
Trish
Boy, I can relate to that. When I had my gastric bypass, I had the Lovonox everyday while I was in the hospital and then had to take the shots for two weeks after that. I had trouble finding a spot that was not bruised. Between my incision down the middle of my abdomen and the bruises across the center near my navel, I looked like the Bride of Frankenstein.
When I go to visit my daughter in Michigan, I will only have to take the shot once before I leave and then once before my return trip. I also must walk a lot during my potty breaks, which are frequent due to my weak bladder, and my mom's weak bladder. Praise the Lord for weak bladders.
Have a good week.
Hugs,
Trish
