Friday Coffee Talk
WAKE UP RANDALL! HEHEHEHE Boy! Am I a sleepy head today. I didn't and DON'T wanna get up this morning.
Guess what? IT IS FRIDAY! WOO HOO! Have you got big plans for the weekend? I do! I'm meeting my AWESOME friends Mr. John and Carmen tomorrow for coffee/lunch! I CAN'T WAIT as I hardly get to see them!
Our challenge today is to remember the father's in our lives. My daddy is in Heaven as he passed away in 2000. I miss him very much. My daddy was more than a daddy, he was a friend that I could call anytime and believe me, I DID! Joie's Grandfather is just like that now. He's 84 years old and has cancer and he keeps on going. He's an awesome man and I look up to him. Maybe your father is gone on also, but I'm sure there is another father figure in your life I'm sure that you can pay tribute to. I read a quote this week and put it on our church sign. It read.....
"Fathers, never get too busy to enjoy being a daddy".
What a profound and simple statement. We get too busy in life sometimes and so focused on being a parent that we forget to be Daddys. AND Mommas. Enjoy being a Daddy guys. I pray for you all!
So, who's up? What cha sipping on? Me? I'm sipping on some awesome Maxwell House regular today and it is so good! Gotta love it!
Ya'll have a blessed and wonderful Friday!
Randall
Good Afternoon Randall,
I am stumped right now. My father went on to heaven in 1977, when my daughter was just a baby. I had a Daddy figure for a long time, but he went to heaven a few months ago. My mother is dating a gentleman, who treats her like gold, but I rarely get to see him, as they both live 2 hours away. I guess I can send him a card, and give him a call on Sunday. He is estranged from some of his kids.
I do miss my dad, especially now that Colleen has given me a granddaughter. He adored her. When she was a baby, my husband was away on military duty, so she and I lived with my folks and he just stole her from me all the time. The only time I got to see her was when it was time to nurse. LOL. They fed her the baby food, and played with her all day long, and only let me have her to nurse. That is what I plan to do next week when I get my hands on my granddaughter.
Have a blessed weekend.
Hugs,
Trish
