Good am all, This is our very 1st Daily Prayer List. You can list anyone/anything you'd like (even "weird requests" as Trish called her last pm). This am I'd like to ask that prayers be said for myself and my family as there has been some inner turmoil with a couple of situations. I find myself unable to help the one person *****ally means a lot to me yet I have been able to help myself and others I do not even know. Also, please say some prayers for a couple of those who are now on different paths than I but still mean a great deal to me as they are going through some trying times. Please feel free to put any prayer requests here! I'll say some for YOU! Have a beautiful day, Kat

Kat, I have several prayer requests this am. Please continue to pray for my mom and that she continues to gain strength (for those that do not know she has been battling lymphoma but is in remission but now is trying to get over the chemo). Please pray for my husband's back. He came home last weekend with terrible back pain. We are not on insurance yet so he will not go to a doctor. He has to work at this present company for 60 days before he can get on insurance. Also, pray for us as we prepare to move and start looking for a house. Pray that God will lead us to the right place. Thanks for starting this thread Kat. Shel

Morning Shel, I am sure that your mom and the family have been going through a lot. Things are a bit of a downer but the fabulous news is she is in remission. It takes time and nuturing to get better and better. So prayers definitely coming mom's way. I hope your hubs back gets better. I have a few suggestions there. Would he consider wearing a back brace to help him during the day? Also, there are warm compresses that can be put on the skin and worn under clothing to help. I pray the 60 days is here in a hurry darling! Moving and looking for a home is a stressful time but have faith sweetie. God is leading you in a new direction with many doors that are opening. Take all of these things as they come and try to alleviate any extra stessors from your life. I know things are rather tough right now but remember when you are down you are never out you hit the floor (with us) and do some knee-mail. Although we are not there in the physical we sure are beside you hands clasped together in prayer. Keep your chin up and keep us posted. You are VERY welcome! You have no idea how good it feels to be here. Hugs to you...and many prayers... Kat

Hi Kat! I just want to say that I am glad you found this board and I really love to read your posts. You have a way of saying and thinking that is helpful to me! Today I would have to ask for prayers for my family. My husband has a job interview today...this is his second one, so he feels pretty good going in. It is a job that would be a 'dream' for him, something he has always been interested in. He is very excited and passionate about it. His current job is none too friendly, but he hangs in there for the sake of me and my daughter. This one he is interviewing for is LOCAL, whoo hoo, no commute! Also I am taking my mother in today to have some surgery done on her wrist. She has been off of work on Workmans Comp because of this problem. Pray that all goes smoothly and that she heals well. If I'm not being too greedy, just one more thing...I have been presented with a business opportunity that could really benefit myself and my family for years to come. We have already been blessed on this, as someone who didn't have to paid our fee to buy us into it, that is how strongly they believe in it as well as US. I want to make it work so I am asking God to lead me in the right ways of what to do so I can be a success. Valena

Morning Valena, Thanks so much. That is what my hope is that I am helpful and in return learning a thing or 2 myself. There is nothing more inspiring to us all then to be passionate and excited about something. It's often times hard to be in a situation or at a job or what have you where you are not feeling welcomed and received in a positive fashion and even more when its some place you really do not want to be. It brings down personal morale and our emotions are torn. I will definitely pray for him that things go exceptionally well with the interview. Prayers coming mom's way for wrist surgery. I've been there. I had a severe car accident and required surgery on my wrist/hand which was shattered and required a pin and extensive rehab to get it better. But, thankfully God saw me through just as he will see your mom through. Its not greedy but a choice you've been given sweetie. Sometimes we struggle with making decisions. The "What If's" eat at is but just remember that we are only given today and we need to make the best of it. Its something that could change your life and that of your family. Really search your heart and soul for the answers you seek and if you believe its where you are being directed then GO FOR IT! Being successful is a wonderful thing just remember to give thanks to God and those who have guided you there! Keep us posted! Hugs to you and many prayers... Kat

Hi every one I am new to this board...and I just want to say my prayers are with all of you and God Bless! I am hoping to get a few prayers for my husband and I, My husband is "although it is hard to admit" an alcoholic. This last weekend was a rough one for him and I, Sunday he lost control and got into some trouble. I am taking this as a message from God that things need to change, that they are going to change, and better things are comming. I am just praying for strength for my husband and I to get through his addiction, that life may be better for him, and we can find happiness in life and each other. I am also praying for our marriage we are newly weds and I am hoping our marriage is a long and happy one. Most of all I am praying that my husband may find God, that he may find faith in God and trust that God is going to help us. Thank you all for your prayers and support. PLease know your prayers mean the world to me and I will be praying for all of you! God Bless Melissa

Morning Melissa, First, welcome to the board. I am fairly new (just a few days) but have been welcomed with open arms! I am glad you are here! I am certainly sending prayers your way. Melissa I have had my struggles with Alcohol Addiction. It's not an easy battle and THE one thing I had to realize was until I was ready to help myself no one else could help me. I believe that is the first step in dealing with anything in our lives. Oh yes the love and support system we have in our lives is very important but we must take that first step. I too lost control with excessive drinking and it nearly cost me my life. But, thankfully God saw fit to keep me here and I believe that it is to walk and talk in his ways. Will I falter from time to time? Yes, but we all do and God is there for us. We will learn and teach important lessons and sometimes its going to be really foul before its going to be really great. It's important for your husband and yourself that he understands the impacts his drinking has on himself, you and those surrounding him. I can safely that tough love although hard and trying is one of the things that really hit the nail on the head for me. Please know that you are not alone and if you are interested in talking with me I would be glad to help in any way that I can. It's a struggle but he IS worth it, you are worth it, your marriage is worth it and with God anything is possible. Many prayers coming your way.... Kat

Hi Melissa, I would like to encourage you to attend a few Al-Anon meetings. They are a self-help support group for families and friends of alcoholics. You will find sympathetic friends there. I am praying for you and your husband. Hugs, Trish

Please pray for my teaching job and for me to get a summer job. I am being transferred from this school due to low enrollment. I go to choose my new school from a list of schools with vacancies on Thursday, the 7th. Please pray I find a good school. I also need a temporary summer job to pay for some expenses this summer. I have an interview on Wednesday the 13th. Thanks, Trish
