Wednesday Coffee Talk
Good Wednesday morning everyone! It's time to rise and shine. The kids are out of school, but work still calls for many. What's on tap for your morning? I'll be able to sit and sip my coffee for about an hour and a 1/2 then I'm headed to the church to volunteer my 5 hours. I LOVE IT!
Our challenge today is to have a family night at the table. I hear the TV talk about the "FAMILY TABLE" and I can remember we always ate dinner/supper at the table. My parents wouldn't have had it any other way. Now days, we just grab our plate and head to the family room. Today, let's take time to sit with the family. Talk! You'll learn a lot if you do.
Who's up? What cha sipping on? Me? I'm sipping on the last of my Maxwell House regular blend. Time to head to the store!!
I pray you have a blessed and wonderful Wednesday!

Good Morning Randall,
The kids may be out of school where you are, but here we have school till June 19th. UGH. My last day is the 20th. Then I am off to see my daughter and new baby granddaughter soon to be born.
I wish I still had my kids here to have family dinner. We used to have a great time sitting and laughing and just having a good time together. I miss that so much.
I am sipping on my diet iced green tea.
Have a great day.
Hugs,
trish
Good morning..I am finishing my morning coffee an unknown flavor that I put in cannister w/o label..but it is good with caramel vanilla SF creamer.
We have been out of school for a week and daughter starts volunteer work at our library today and then we will go to a women's Bible study three doors down from our home.
My whole life we have had family dinners and lunch and breakfasts.
During the week husband can't join us for breakfast or lunch but daughter and I always sit together for those meals. Weekends we all sit together. And evenings we always sit together aroung a set table and fellowship and discuss the days events, what is on our hearts and what the Lord spoke to us.
My Mom and Dad always sat at the table for meals and I continued that when I married. A lot of people come to our home and are surprised the way I set my table for every meal. I have dishes and glasses and flatware...why not use them on my family. They are more special than company to me and I want to bless them.
Have a great day!!
In His love and grace,
Joan
Yes.....it was the last day of school for our kids, too. I'll be off now until summer school starts June 25. In fact, DH and I leave next Sunday for a 6 day cruise....I'm so ready for it!!!
I do remember eating meals together....that's because the only TV was in the living room...not in the bedroom....not in the kitchen...not in the den (we didn't even have a den). Life was so simple......I just wonder if my parents thought so.
Our AC went out and Cough! Cough! it's going to take some unbudgeted $$$$ to get a new system, and the youngest daughter's college tuition went up by $4k, but God is so faithful.....I just know He will work out these glitches in our present cir****tances.
I had my two cups of cafe con leche w/splenda this AM and already looking forward to Alma's best tomorrow AM. Thank God for Ron's Cuban Cafe!!
Have a great evening.
Greetings all,
Being as though I am just getiing this now, I really like reading the morning coffee talks. Well, for me, it is rare anymore that we all sit down and have dinner together, I have two children still at home, my 19 1/2 yr. old college student daughter, and my 17 yr. old son, they both work part time jobs, and my husband works swing shifts, so its very rare that we all get to sit down at the same time for a meal. I really do miss those times as well. School is still in here for my son, he has until the 18th of June and my daughter has taken some summer classes, so she will be finishing up in a few weeks, but she is going to enroll for the second half of the summer sessions.
