Teeth Problems
My teeth needed serious repair work last summer, before my surgery. BUT, I did not have the cash to pay for what my insurance did not cover. So, I put it off. Well, last week, two of my teeth cracked and now I am in pain and must begin the repair work. My dentist put me on antibiotics and pain meds. Since I broke a bridge on one side of my mouth previously, and have the broken teeth and pain on the other side of my mouth, I can't really chew my food very well. Therefore, I must resort to soft foods, like post-op. Chewing meat is painful and it gets stuck in the broken areas. Cottage cheese is now my favorite food.
I am seriously depressed about this because I am in a financial crunch, and really have to scramble to come up with the money to pay for this work. All of the repairs will cost over $1600 after my insurance. Add to this all of my other big expenses this summer.
Just need to whine a little. I also need prayer and a financial miracle.
Hugs,
Trish
Thanks Karen, especially for the interesting perspective. I don't think of God's refining fire when I am in the middle of the trials. I just think of the pain and want it to end. LOL. I need to keep a heavenly minded focus in this situation, because I would rather not have the pain and financial mess. God obviously has a reason and is doing something in all of it.
Thanks again.
Hugs,
Trish
Hi Trish - sometimes a little wine goes really well with a little whine! LOL Not that I am advocating any heavy drinking, but....... Seriously - I understand teeth problems. I have had braces on for a year now and when those come off then they will start some additional painful stuff. It seems like the more I fix the more I need fixed! My husband is seriously starting to call me the cash-cow. Well thank the Lord for dentists, antibiotics and cottage cheese. We will hold you up in prayer. Love, Sally
Sounds like a great idea, the wine and all, BUT, I am a recovering alcoholic, and I don't know what a little wine looks like. I have been in recovery off and on for 18 years, and currently have over 5 years since I had a drink.
I just have to hang in there, and wait for the antibiotic to kick in.
Thanks for the thought.
Hugs,
Trish

Patricia, sorry you are experiencing the dental problems. I haven't had increased dental issues but I feel like my vision has deterioated faster than just normal aging since my WLS.
As for the " wine with the whine ", I do have a glass occasionally but it is this brand called Frutezia... It is a peach flavored white wine....minimum alcohol content but just enough to relax when I dolute it and add it to my ice tea....makes wonderful peach ice tea.
Back to your immediate needs, though. God did not get you through this surgery to be burdened by this......I just know there is a miracle in the making! You are in my prayers, dear friend.
