prayer request for a date
I was speaking to the scheduling person at Barix who told me that she has an opening for May 31. She also said she didn't have any more of my surgeon's patients to schedule. As of Tuesday, she didn't had my chart in her hands yet though, as it has to come now from the benefits department and be signed off on by the surgeon.
I know this is in God's hands, but I also know He likes us to pray, and I want to be sure to include Him in everything I do regarding this surgery. IF I get the surgery on May 31, the timing would be such (barring any complications) that I could go on a missions trip with our youth group. They need a woman to go, and they need someone to lead music (which I do at our church). So....... I'd really like to do that, and would probably be able to if I have the surgery on that date.
My surgeon goes on vacation after that, and if I don't get the May 31 date, then I wouldn't be scheduled until some time after June 18, and I'd have to skip the missions trip.
I am praying for God's will, BUT if it is within His will, I'd really like to have the surgery on May 31.
When I was getting my surgery date from Peggy, the first date she gave me conflicted with a family vacation we all had planned to celebrate Mom's 80th birthday. The next date she gave me conflicted with another family obligation. The next date meant I would miss the first month of the school year, and as a teacher that is not a good thing. I decided to trust the Lord and miss the start of the school year anyway.
My point is, God's timing is perfect, NO MATTER WHAT.
Praying that all things happen according to HIS plan. Hugs, Trish
I was so disappointed w my surgery date was changed, but it really was for the best. My daughter will now only miss 2 days of school instead of at least 10 and they will be the last 2 days-they mainly play on those 2 days. I also am physically feeling better and in a better spot with my faith because I heard and digested messages I needed to hear. Isnt it funny how we are always quick to praise God w things go the way we think is good, but sometimes we forget that when we are in His mightly hands all of his plans are good for us? Jill, I pray this works out for you and that God's perfect will be done. Holding you up in prayer-hugs-Amy
