Wednesday Coffee Talk
Good morning everyone! Time to rise and shine! Gotta spray them pits and eat them grits! HEHEHE It's hump day! Down hill from here to the weekend. It's all slide and glide! Gee....where'd that come from? I guess slide and glide in to the weekend?
Our challenge today is to "chalk it up". Everything you have faced in your life has been for an experience and for a reason. Everything or anything you face is not by chance. I think the things, even WLS, that we go through, do, or face are ALL for reasons. What reason are you "chalking it up" for? Make it positive! Everything I have been through in my life (on my profile), 2 house fires, death of Joie, heart surgery, coma, major car accident, I "chalk it up" as it made/makes me stronger and makes my faith UNMOVABLE! I will not be shaken! Chalk it up today and know that you are stronger in everything you face, endure, and come through!
So, who's up? What cha sipping on? Me? More chocolate macedamia nut. MMMMM MMMMM GOOD!
I hope you have a wonderful and blessed "hump day"!
Randall
Randall,
God does not waste the bad stuff in our life. He uses it to refine us and to help us minister to others who may cross our paths in the future. Romans 8:28-29 and 2 Corinthians 1 talk about this.
I have had my share of bad breaks in life, and had gone through a period of bitterness and questioning God for allowing the pain, but He came back to me with Jeremiah 29:11. He has plans for good for me.
I just finished a diet iced tea and need to get some water in.
Hugs,
Trish
I agree. It says in Revelation 12:11 "they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony." It also says that God takes what the ememy would use to destroy us and turns it into a blessing rather than a curse.
I believe that we live in a sinful world and the enemy attacks us, BUT GOD is stroinger than Satan and He will turn t all around for good. Our main purpose in life is to bring glory to God. Sometimes I forget that and focus too much on "poor little me." Our testimony will draw people to Jesus and if we all had perfect, easy, lives who could we reach. As WLS success stories, for example, we can go up to a 400 lb person and minister to them in a way that they might ignore or even be offended by if it came from someone who never had this struggle. Its the same with abuse or poverty or anything. Even though God does not cause these things-He can use them once we live a life devoted to him. He is soooo good!!
I'm a pre-op for 9 more days and I am sipping on diet pop-I know I gotta give it up very soon......
You have a blessed day too!! Hugs-Amy
