I'm feeling down. I feel grotesque, fat and old. I have my period. My eating is out of control. I feel hopeless today. I still haven't heard if I'm approved or not for sure. I want a date. I want out of this body.

Father I know my sisters pain. How many times did I sit alone in the dark and cry as I stuffed pizza, cake and what ever else I could find into my face. The problem was my feeling of emptiness and I was looking to fill myself. I was not alone though. You were with me, even when I did not feel you. I was my own worst stumbling block. You never left, you never waivered. You were the voice in my head crying out to God, but it was my sin that chose to ignore you. Thank you for my answer to my physical problems, but more important, thank you for being my emotinal and spiritual answers. YOU alone are mighty. YOU alone are the answer to our heart cries. YOU alone can lift me from my dispare. YOU alone are worthy to recieve honor, glory, riches, power, love, adoration. Let my sister feel your power today. Amen.

Hi Jill - I still have you on my prayer list! I still haven't heard whether my surgery is OK yet or not either so I know alittle how you're feeling. Thankfully I'm past the period stage but still remember how miserable it used to be. Remember alot of what you're feeling is hormonal and will get better. Know that I will continue to pray for you. Jill, I do remember feeling that way, and still sometimes get that way, but not as often. Keep clinging to the Lord and remember that HE is in control of the approval process for you. Trust Him. Get outside and take a walk, and then drink a big glass of water. It will make you feel like a million dollars. Hugs, Trish

Jill, I remember feeling just the way you describe in your 5/3 post. When we are this low....the only way to look is UP and for us, who are believers in Christ, we look up to a caring and loving Heavenly Father. I pray that God will give you new strength in your faith.....renewed calm to increase your patience.....and new encouragement from your brothers and sisters in Christ who are uplifting you in their prayers.
