Dear Family, One of our daughters is sad and unhappy. Her wedding day is just around the corner, 6 weeks till she marries my last and youngest son. Unfortunately her parents have taken this special time in her life to decide to divorce. Please lift her up, and pray that the parents could somehow put aside their hurts and disappointments to be there for their child. At the same time pray for me that I do not go down to their home and kick their butts for making this time all about them. My natural instinct is to do some serious butt kicking, but thank God there is a 1 hour distance between us. Seriously - I need to keep myself in check here. Thanks and I love all of you for praying. Thanking God for Distance. Sally

How sad that the parents couldn't put their daughter first at this special time! Sometimes a good butt kickin' is called for. I will add her to my prayer list. Hopefully her parents will put her well being first and formost. Karen

Isn't it wonderful that we can pray and let the Lord deal with their selfish hearts. Prayer opens the floodgates of heaven and the Father knows how to deal with them better than we do for sure. Let her know that she is loved by God and your family and even her family and that sometimes biiterness makes even adults act like selfish babies and that it will pass. Take a deep breath an dthen sing some of our favorite songs Girlfriend. And pray scripture back to God...that was one of my devotions today..... In Him, Joan M

My husband left me about 6 months before our daughter got engaged. Her wedding was the same month I moved out of our house and into an apartment. I barely remember it because I was in such a depression and fog. I hated my husband for a very long time for that year. God is in control of your future daughter-in-law. He has plans for her that are for good, not evil. Jeremiah 29:11. Give her that verse and love her through this. Praise God you love her enough to feel upset for her about this. Hugs, Trish
