Verse of the Day for April 23

Exodus 20:3 "You shall have not other gods before Me." Lord, let this be the cry of my heart, mind and spirit. Let all those worldly wants leave me today and let me only focus on you, My God. Amen.

Sally - once again that old saying about "where you're at in the bible is where you're at!" This commandment is so striking for me. I can put so many other gods on His throne - material possessions, prestige, my kids, my own will! This commandment was ringing in my head yesterday and then to have you post it this AM was amazing! Thank you so much! ~carolyn Dear Jesus - I acknowledge that You alone are God, and You are a jealous God! Thank You that You care enough to be jealous! Thank You that Your Spirit living in each of us prompts us when we are worshipping anything or anybody in Your place! Lord, help me to worship You alone and seek You alone. May Your will reign in my life!!! Amen!
