Dear Sally steered my to the Christian board and I'm so glad because some of the stuff on the other boards are not my cup of tea. I'm a 56 yr. old female, married 21 years, have three kids, 6 grand kids and 3 great grands ( the most recent a beautiful baby girl, born Mar. 31). Technically some are steps, but as far as we're concerned they are all ours, warts and all. I am currently waiting to hear whether the insurance will OK my surgery, the paperwork should have been sent in last week. Now it's time for that patience that I have so little of. My lovely Sunday school class ladies are keeping me in prayer so I know whatever happens will be God's best for me. We attend a pretty small church in a rural area so we are more like a large extended family, which is very nice. So if anyone wants to keep in touch I'm always open to new friends. Sharing His love, Podunker

Hi Karen, Welcome to the Christianity Message Board. I am Trish, and I am 49, divorced, mother of three wonderful children, all adults, and soon to be grandma to a feisty granddaughter in June. This message board is full of wonderful prayer warriors, and I just love it. God is in control, and His willl be done concerning your surgery. He blessed me over anything I could imagine with my surgery, and I am confident He will do likewise with you. Hugs, Trish

Welcome Karen and we just love Sally. I am 57 mother of two daughters..one 36 and the other 14, and I homeschool her (9th year). I have a wonderful Godly husband and three wonderful grandchildren. I had my surgery april 25, 2006 and am at goal according to my surgeon..so I am trying to learn how to maintain and use this tool effectively for the glory of God the Father. God bless and praying His will for your life. In Christ's love, Joan M

Thanks for your welcome and congrats on being at goal. I suspect staying on track after goal may be an even bigger challenge than the losing. We know that our Lord is there to guide us thru so it's all good. Karen

Welcome to the Christianity Board. My name is Gina. I've been married (almost) 27 years. I have three daughters, three sons-in-law, and four grandchildren. I am mostly a lurker on this board but I do occasionally post. However, I can almost always be found on the Alabama Board. I am a little more than 4 years post op with no complications to speak of. You can PM me anytime and I'll reply fairly quick. Gina

Welcome Karen! I'm Annette, 48, married. My husband and I have 5 children between us, all grown (Thank You, Jesus) and two grandchildren. Like you, we count everyone, steps included. They are all ours! I'm a small town girl myself and love the small town life. You are in my prayers for God's will to be done in your life and with your surgery. Keep in touch, Annette

What a trip down memory lane when I saw the Annette Funicello pix. I was a faithful Mickey Mouse Club fan! Isn't small town life grand? I can't even imagine living in a big city. Karen

Good Morning Sister - Welcome o the family that lasts a lifetime and then beyond! I am so glad you found us. Looking forward to someday meeting all of my friends on this board in person, or at the very least at the wedding feast. Love to you all. Sally
