Prayer Request
Please pray for me this weekend and Monday. I had a CT scan done of my brain on Monday, and my family doctor wants to see me concerning the results. I have to take the day off from work, because of the appointment, which will not go over well since I have been on Spring break all week this week.
Always for Him,
trish
Trish - I will be praying!!!
We were studying these verses from Matthew 6:
Do Not Worry
25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
- And our Pastor was urging us to consider that when the Lord saved us, He did so not to them leave us to fend for ourselves and be consumed by the world, but He is with us and will provide for our each and every need. Now, sometimes I do not understand the way He provides, and I'm left scratching my head, but then, I remember that His ways are not my own, and that His ways are far better than mine...
Trish - I pray that the Lord will bless you with His perfect peace and that you will rest knowing that He has promised to never leave you nor foresake you!!! Amen dear Trish and dear Jesus!!!
Love you - Carolyn
Trish, I know your faith is strong so I do not have to mention that to you. I will mention what we all do when we are told to wait for information - we tend to let our mind get ahead of the information. If we could all just wait patiently with full knowledge that the things of this world are temporary, but the things of the Lord are forever. Try to drink a cup of warm soothing tea. I find that I have more patience when I have a good cup of tea. It must be the English in me. Monday is the best day - just after a good time at church, just after a wonderful weekend filled with family and friends. We will be praying for you. Let us know the news - good or bad - and we will all give the Lord glory for what he is about to do in your life.
Living more and more for Him.
