I got the call today telling me that I will have my surgery on the 4th of May at 11:30 at the University of Chicago. I have to go in a few days early because I have to get a filter placed in my leg first to lessen the change of a clot because I am so heavy. On April 16th I go in for final tests so please pray for me. I expected to be excited and I am, but I am scared a bit too. Jesus will take care of me though-I know he always has!!

Hooray for Amy she has a date!!!! So happy for you Girlfriend and it will go by fast. I had the IVC filter placed in my Vena Cava (stomach) and it was easy. So happy and I am moving down the loser's bench to make room for you Friend! In Christ's love, Joan

You go girl!!! Remember that the Lord created you, and He knows the number of your days. Psalm 139 is what kept me at peace when I was getting ready for my surgery. Stay in the Word, and keep trusting Him. He has everything under control. Hugs, Trish

Hi Amy! I am so happy for you! It is normal to be apprehensive about any surgical procedure. But...God has your back! And...think of it this way....You...are saving your life by doing this! You are making strides to be healthy. It will be hard...I will not lie...but so worth it! If you did nothing...what would happen? Think about it that way. God is in control...and HE made a way...for you to have this surgery! It is all part of His plan...and you are benefitting from his love, grace, and mercy! Praying for you! Stephanie
