Well it is more than a cold....
I have been AWOL for a few days and prob will be for a few more. I have had a high fever for 5 days now and yesterday I went to the doctor. They took xrays and they think I have pneumonia, an ear infection and bronchitis. I got a shot in my hip of some high powered antibiotic that hurts like crazy and I have to see my doctor again today. I am coughing up blood and it is not fun.
But God is good and is still on the throne!! Yesterday was simply aweful. I woke up with chills and a temp of 102. I could not get my fever down no matter what I took. I called my mom at 5 AM and asked her to pray for me (mommy's are great even w you are 35). After 3 hours of trying to get my fever down I began to cry out to God-Mostly just praising him for the good in my life. I am definitely not some super-Christian that always knows what to do , but God is so good. He meets me where I am. It is only by His grace that I was able to praise Him at at all as I have never done it before when I felt bad- not like I was yesterday. I usually whine to Him w I feel bad and beg Him to take it away. He broke my fever in a matter of minutes and I began to feel better-not great but better. I also keep quoting the Scriptures because I know there is power there and "His word will not return void but will accomplish what it was sent to do."
Anyway-if I am gone for a bit please do not worry but please do pray for mr cause I am a baby and my poor family needs their mommy/wife back!! Love you all-Amy
Oh Sweet Amy, My heart goes out to you and yes Mommy's are great no matter our age. I am 47 and still need my Mommy! Hopefully, the antibiotics will be kicking in here within this 24 hours and you should be feeling better. I am so sorry about the pneumonia. It is awful. I had it and so did my 2 daughters when we moved here. (Northern Illinois from Colorado.) Pneumonia doesn't go away over night, so you must give yourself permission to get the rest and help you need. My neighbors brought in food for the rest of the family when they hear how sick I was. Speak up, let people know your needs and receive the blessings that will be there for you to take. Remember God's promises: "Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28. Accept the rest! Lovingly, Kim M.
