Prayer request

This is not urgent in light of some of the struggles some of you are going thought, but to our family, especially our 14yr old DD it is...our Lhaso Ahpso Samson has to be put down today at 3:30 due to his age (17) and failing health. It has been a hard decision but with our Vet a wonderful Christian man and our family praying about it we feel this is the best for Sam. Please pray for us and for me as I will take him alone and be driving back during the storm we are expecting and with tears for sure. I will stay with him till he passes. Thanks...Joan M

Joni - isn't it wonderful that God cares about all of our needs, our heart aches, our joys, and every time we need comfort for no matter what... He cares. I will be praying for you and for your family and for Sam. May He be licking scraps off of the banquet table tonight with the Lord! Lord Jesus - we thank You SO much for the companionship that we get from our 4 legged friends and family members. Lord, we ask for mercy and comfort during this time of grief. Carolyn...you just blessed me and my daughter's socks off as we picture Sammy doing just that. She was holding him this morning and telling him that he would be able to run and not hurt or run into walls anymore....thanks again...Sis In Him, Joan

Carolyn said it best. I am in awe at the wonder of our God-that He cares about what we care about simply because He cares about us. I have a dog myself that is about 8 and we have had him since he was ready to leave momma. He is really a part of the family. I can imagine your grief and that of your daughter who has literally had Samson around her whole life. I just sent prayers up for you and I know as you do that the Holy Spirit, our comforter, will be there to help heal the hurt. hugs-Amy

Oh Joan, my heart aches for you and your family. I know this is terribly difficult. I loved Carolyn's discription of Samson feasting at the Lord's table tonight. God is so big and compasionate.
