Wow Amy, that is alot of information. I appreciate it. I have often thought of just stopping everything and starting all over again with diet, exercise, meds, tests, etc. Sometimes I think I have so many different components interacting that who knows what causes what. The book sounds great and I will call the library to order it. Thanks again. I will not give up or "just live with it" because I know God doesn't want that for me. Thanks so much! Kim M.

I am on disability and one of the reasons is fibromyalgia. The ONLY thing that helps me is medication. Swimming helps if you can find a place with an inside pool where they keep the water warm. It doesn't hurt the joints and muscles as much. I was going to a place for a while, but it was $50 a month and being on disability doesn't leave you money for FOOD, much less a "luxury" like swimming. Jacuzzis helps tremendously if you have access to one of those. I wish I had one in my home. I would LIVE in it. Getting enough rest is a key too. If I push myself too hard one day, I have to stay in bed the next day or two. There are a lot of things I think would help....like having a deep tissue massage if I could afford that. Or having a hottub if I could afford that. Having a doctor who would prescribe stronger drugs would help too, but most doctors could care less about your pain. They just don't want to prescribe any narcotic drugs that would help the pain. But I have had people give me stuff like Lortab or Hydrocodone and that night, I will sleep and feel better, but finding a doctor who will prescribe anything but Darvocet is impossible. There is a lot of info about fibromyalgia on the internet if you just google it. Having WLS helped more than anything, but the pain is still there, but at least I can move around better. The best of luck in your quest, Love, Joni
