Thank you all for your help re: leaving chuirch

Thank you all for your advice and support about my changing churches. I am a mess today about the whole thing. I did not go see the pastor, but did write him a letter. I know if I were a stronger person I would have gone over there. It is a tricky situation though because the pastor preaches at the church, but there is a family that literally makes up over half of the congregation that actually make most of the decisions. All of the children that attend there belong to the family except mine. There is no youth group other than them. I want so bad to go back. I want to call them up and tell them it was a joke and that I will be there Sunday. I feel so utterly alone. The church is literally my only outlet from the house. I have no friends outside the church. My husband doesnt go to church, so I do not have any fellowship without the church. I will gain new friends. I will be better off because God leads us from glory to glory and only has good plans for us. I just needed someone to know that I am not doing this without a thought or for vain prideful reasons. Please, please pray for me.

Amy - I'm praying for you! When you talk about your heart's mission - and the new church, I just FEEL the Lord in it! Stand firm in your devotion to obey the Lord! Take care! If God has called - you better follow. Even if it is hard and painful. Make some new friends, take some new steps. You won't ever fully know God's plan while you serve him on this earth, but as long as you are following with a clean heart it will give you joy. I imagine Peter and Paul and a few others mentioned in the Bible felt alone and lonely at times as well. Leaving others behind is never easy. We will be praying for your journey.
