Help I Prayed For Faith

Hi, I don't post much these days but I do come to visit this board often. I need to share this~it's long. A few weeks ago I prayed to God and asked Him for faith. I told Him I needed to be close to Him the way I used to be. This is what happened; My oldest son has started believing in aliens, but this has caused him to start reading and studying the Bible. We had an undetected water leak that caused our water to bill to sky rocket up to $1500. The city came to our house and told us we needed to check for leaks. My oldest son found the leak and stopped it. The water dept. will not wave the bill, but they won't charge us a late fee for not paying it on time. Our 9 month old shihtzu puppy became stuck under a chain link fence, broke her tail, and fractured her pelvis in 7 different places. We can't afford the surgerythe vet says she needs.(between 4 and 5 thousand dollars). She has been on strict cage rest for the last 3 weeks and has started walking again. I lost my job, and the company refuses to give anyone their paychecks. That equals about $800.00 for me. My social worker didn't put my food benefits on my bridge card and is so far behind in her work that she doesn't know how long before they are back on. My car won't start. I thought I could take no more when our water pipes froze up and burst. We have been without running water for two weeks now. I thanked God for the snow, because we melted it to flush the toilet and mop the floors. I woke up this morning to find the toilet backed up and the bath tub had about 4 inches of human waste in it. I don't know how that happened. I didn't know why it happened, until I asked God why is so much going so wrong. It was at this point that I was reminded that I asked for my faith to be restored. I said to God I asked for faith not patience. The Lord told me ~You have patience you need faith. He also told me that I had to swallow my pride and ask for help. Then I was to watch what he will do. I thought it's not pride it's embarrassment. Now I think it is pride (with a little bit of embarrassment mixed in). I guess I'm swallowing my pride and asking for help. We don't know how to fix any of the stuff in our home, and we can't afford to fix it. The insurance won't cover the broken pipes only water damage after a $1000.00 deductible is met. There is no water damage caused by the broken pipes, at least as far as we can tell. I don't know what to do or where to turn. It looks like there is no end in sight. The more I ask God for help the worse things get. Yet I continue to turn to Him knowing He will provide our needs. Thank you for listening. God bless you, Annette

Annette sounds like you need some help. The bible says part of the collection we take up on the 1st day of the week is to help the needy 1 corinthians 16:1-3. Go to church and talk to the minster. Hugs Sandyd

Annette, There was a time in my life when my husband and I were in similar situations. Ask for help from your church, as you have already e-mailed your pastor, and see if there is a food bank in your area to get some food to offset your food budget. Lord, be with Annette right now and show her Your love and compassion by providing for these unexpected expenses. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and You can open the floodgates of provision for her right now. Thank you for her faithfulness to You, and how You are teaching her through this situation. In Jesus precious name, Amen. Hugs, Trish

Annette - I say yay and Amen to Trish's prayer and stand with her before the Lord and His throne of grace! Amen and Amen! Rather than just an email, please call your church. I would email also, because it's a safer way to ask for help, but I believe that the Lord is calling you to go out of the safe zone and be face to face and ask for help. Email is so safe and almost anonymous. I'd ask for a meeting with your pastor so that he can look into your face when you tell him whats going on... Take care dear girl, and remember that He never lets go! Please keep us posted! ~Carolyn

Father we ask for your help in all things, but today we especially request a quick answer to Annettes problems. You are mighty in all things and I know that you can handle all that is happening. Please give Annette the peice that comes from knowing that you are able to solve all problems. Amen. Annette, I would still call my insurance company. It seems to me that the pipes broke because of the water. The damage is the broken pipes and the sewage problem. As for the $1000 deductible, I bet a company would work with you regarding that. In His Grip Always, Sally
