Almost 10 months out - new photos...
Hi everyone -
In about 10 days, I'll be 10 months post op. Here's my journey. At orientation for this process I weighed in at 252. (I'm 5' 1/2"). There was a requirement to lose before surgery, so on 4/26/06 when I had surgery, I weighed in at 222. Today, I weigh 139. I have 5 more lbs to go before I meet my first goal. The weight loss has really slowed, but I'm not upset. What I've been given through this process is more than I ever could have wished for.
So, in August we're going on a cruise to Alaska with my Dad. My DD and I needed to get some fancy dresses, so I've posted some pics of us trying on dresses, and then the 2 that I bought. I also found a pic of me in Jerusalem in front of the Eastern Gate from a couple of years ago. I think it's really important for me to remember where I was. I can be very casual with my pouch - it's very easy - not upset by anything. So, I need to be more diligent to care for it. I don't want to in any way risk losing what I've been given.
Anyway - there are pics if anyone wants to see...
Talk to you all later! - love and hugs - Carolyn
PS - Randall - I feel so bad, but I'm going to get to the post office soon! Ugh! Really!
Carolyn....
Size 7 ???? That is AWESOME! I love the pictures. You look so much younger today than you did in that picture at the Eastern Gate. But hey...you got to go to Jerusalem! Okay so far today you are in 70 degree weather, wearing a size 7 and have been to Jerusalem! I'm really trying not to be jealous. Luckily.... you are such a wonderful person that I'm just happy for you and blessed that you've shared all of this with us. Thanks & God bless you.
