This could be off topic or not..I really can't say why this is happening. I have been having sexual dreams that are not in line with my beliefs at all and I don't know what to do except to pray for deliverance. You see this is not a thing I am proud of, but I was sexually abused for 12 years at the hands of my step-father and this abuse included exposure to *****graphy. I do not view *****graphy now nor do I think about sex at all unless it is between me and my husband of almost 15 years. The bothersome thing is that I was not having these dreams until the last few weeks and I am at a loss as to why or how to rid myself of them. I would appreciate any prayers that you might have because I am really bothered by this. Any ideas as to why this could be happening would also be appreciated-thank you so much-Amy

Dear Amy, Why is hard to answer, but I do think you are on track when you say that your past might have something to do with it. It seems to me that when we try to fix a broken door (in this case our eating) then satan will use a window or a chiminey to try to get in. I would pray at night for peace and deliverance, and I would share this with my husband. If you are not telling him then he can't pray with you and for you. When you wake up and realize that is was a dream, call on the Lord and your husband and pray again. They are only dreams. Not your reality. The Lord is mighty and you will have deliverance. I am so sorry this happened to you. You have nothing to not be proud of. You were not responsible for this you were a child in the hands of a perpetrator. Somtimes with sexual abuse issues things get triggered and start to come up and yours may be surfacing in dreams where you subconscience runs wild. I do not know of anything that can control dreams so we will pray about it. It could be that with whatever stress you have is causing it. I would try putting some really good stuff in my head just before I go to sleep like reading my bible and praying and then if it does not go away you might try some therapy. Not because there is anything wrong with you but because they may have other information to help you cope with this. I am so very glad you felt safe enough to share this and wish I could be more help. I myself have abuse issues in my backround and they can be bothersome dealing with. Hugs, Sandyd

Amy, take a look at the lesson I posted today on Bible Help to fight Temptation. Even though you are not being tempted to sin in any way there are some scripture there that remind us that Jesus understands our human plight and has compassion for us and will help us because he was tempted in all ways. Hugs, Sandyd
