Prayer request...

You know as I do that God cares about every inch of our lives. So, although this is not life and death, I do have a prayer request today. My daughter's best friend has been an exchange student in England this year, and we were planning to go over and visit for Spring break. We were going to drop my DD off with her friend, and go toodle around England - my husband, my folks and me. Last night, Emily (DD 15) tells me that her friend has cut short her stay in England and is coming home next week. So, now Em is stuck in England with us! Here's my prayer request - that the Lord would soften her brother's heart (David 17) and that he would go with us. Emily & David are best friends - and have such an amazing friendship aside from their being family. David is not in the least interested in going to England - he was invited when we first hatched this plan, and said - oh, no thanks! But, I'm going to ask him again today. Please pray that the Lord would open David's heart to do this. I would be our first family trip (since I got married to Gordon 5 years ago), and it could be such a wonderful time for us all! Thanks for your prayers! I'll let you know how it goes. Much to Em's credit, I offered her the option of bailing out, and she said no, she wouldn't do that to us. 'Love that girl!!! Father God, you kow Carolyn's heart in t his matter and I pray your will be done in this situation and if her son is to go then you stir his heart. I pray this would be a time of knitting hearts in family love and love that is based solely on You Father and Your Son. Bless this family and guide them...in Jesus Most Precious Name...Amen Joan M

Carolyn, First of all, your before and after pics are amazing!! You look like mother and daughter. You are so beautiful!! I will pray that God can use this time for a great family vacation and that your son's heart will be melted, and that God will put in him a spirit of adventure and fun, and this will be a great time of bonding. I really feel if he goes, your family will grow in ways that you could not have imagined. God Bless, and His will be done!!! PS If he doesn't want to go, I'll go!!! I love England!!!
