New to the Lord!!
I just saw Carolyn's post on the main board abt this forum. I am so glad she posted that. I recently accepted the lord, last week on tuesday. I am trying to be a good christain. I lack support in the family and friend area. So, I am glad I can come here for support on my 2 wonderful journeys, the lord and wls. I am sure I will have lots of questions on my journey with god, so be patience with me.
Hugs and love,
Kelli
Good morning Kelli,
Congratulations on your new life in Christ! Let HIM have control of your life and it is so much easier. We can't be good within ourselves but letting HIM live through us it is doable. Let me know if you have questions or just need encouragement. Remember satan is a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. We will stand with you and help you through this beginning and are praying for you. We are here for you.
In christ,
Darlene
Kelli - welcome! This can be a kind of quiet board, but I think we're kickin' it up a notch! Welcome again! How very exciting for you. Please come here with everything! It's a good board and hopefully will become more busy! We need to band together in these days! The Lord is coming soon and we want to be found together rejoicing in His glory and grace!!!
Hugs back at you! - Carolyn
Oh Kelly...I am so happy to welcome you into the family of Christ! A new Babe in Christ is always a joy to us older believers. I still remember the day I asked Jesus to be my Lord...I still cry when I think about His love and grace and I even cried when I read your post. Our Father loves His kids so much and He is so patient to wait on us to say yes to the gift of His Son. I am so happy you said yes!
I will just encourage you to read the Bible and trust the Lord to speak to you through His Word. Continue to attend a good Bible teaching church and try to connect to another Christian sister there who can disciple you in the things of the Lord. Ask your Pastor or his wife to recommend someone. Get involved..that is how we grow as Christians...Christianity isn't a spectator sport...you must be a player. God will show you. He loves you so much Kelli.....I will pray for your family to be saved also and then your hearts will be knit together. We all can testify of family and friends that came to the Lord through us and also testify that we are still prayig for others to receive the Lord. Don't lose hope...just as He got you He can get them.
I will read your profile later...I homeschool my 14yr old and have a daughter who will be 36 next week.
Would love to be your friend.
In Christ's love,
Joan M
Hi Kelli, and welcome to the family of God and to the Christianity Forum.
My best suggestion is to make sure you are in a Bible preaching/believing church, and that you are reading the Bible everyday. Even if it is just a few verses. I recommend the book of John and the Psalms. John will tell you about Jesus. Psalms will comfort and encourage you when you are down.
Great having you here.
Hugs,
Trish
