Verse of the day
"Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;"- John 11:25
Today's passage is from the New International Version.
Hugs, Sandyd
What a comforting message this is. We are the most fortunate of all people those who believe Jesus Christ. Doesn't that scripture just give you goose bumps? Love to you all.
Thank you Sandy. This is the best message. We were studying in Exodus last night how at the pronouncement of the final plague on the Egyptians - the Jews were to go get the lamb, and kill the lamb, and put the blood on their door ways. Then, cook the lamb - and eat with haste - with their robes girded around them, their feet in their sandals, and with their walking staff in their hands. We are to come to the table - with our shoes on, and our clothes girded so that we can quickly depart to spread the news - Jesus is the resurrection, and the life! He who believes in Him will live, even though he dies... Now is a time of year that people are more apt to hear the message. May the Lord bless us with BOLDNESS to tell of His life and the hope that He gives.
Take care - Carolyn
This verse gives me comfort as I am missing my brother. His birthday is coming up, and I wish he were here to celebrate it with me. Yet, this verse says my brother is alive.
I just started doing a study of Beth Moore's called "Believing God." In the first chapter it discusses the difference between believing IN God and BELIEVING God. Many of us believe in God, but when push comes to shove, we don't believe Him, or what His word says He will do in our lives. It is a great study.
Thanks for posting it.
Hugs,
Trish
