Lots of prayers needed
hello brothers and sisters in Christ.
I would love some prayers for my family if you have the time. I have a wonderful relationship with the Lord, and understand that all things happen in His time, and not mine.
I have been praying for 5 years or more for my husband and kids to come to the Light. I have asked for prayers through various prayer lines, also the one through my church. I even asked our visiting Bishop to pray with me on Sunday morning.
I know that we have a God who hears and answers prayers, so I know that it will happen some day. Maybe I'm just being a little impatient.
But I feel, that the next 12 months are critical. I believe that this is the year when some of my family will come to know Him, and that the others will not be far behind. At least that is my prayer, and the sound of the still small voice within me says.
What ever the reason for my feelings, I would like help in praying for the family. There is my husband Bob, and my kids Rob, Bobby, Erica, and Brenda and their families. I know that it is so close, and yet so far away right now.
I thank you all who will invoke the name of Jesus in pleading for the salvation of my family.
In Christ
Marilyn
I will most definitely have your family in my prayers. I understand your concern there, I have family members that I want to see the light also. My children (teens) used to come to church with me weekly, now it's a struggle to get them to go. My oldest daughter will go now, but only because of her boyfriend (I don't care, I'll take it lol) but my youngest refuses to go. Prayer is truly the only thing that will fix these situations!!!! I admire you for reaching out, you will have many people praying for you! Good luck to you Marilyn, and God Bless! Jeanne
Marilyn, I love your faith! You hold fast to that faith! I'm joining you in prayer claiming your family for Christ. As the "spiritual head" of your family, you are doing the right thing. God is faithful and I believe this is THEIR year to come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior! God bless you. Randall
Marilyn,
You most certainly can count on my prayers for your family. I know what you are going through. I also am asking the Lord to work on my husband in getting him to come to the Lord.
I pray that his light shines through you and that you become the example for your family that they see this light and crave to have some of it too.
I pray that the Lord will use you and mold you into what he needs for you to be and what he needs you to say during this period of questioning that your family will have. It will not always be the words that are stressed to your family but will also be your actions. Let the Lord guide you in all that you say and do.
Keep in touch and let me know how things are going. If it is a comfort to you, know that I too am going through the same thing. I will continue to hold you up in prayer.
