Thursday Coffee Talk
Good Thursday morning everyone! I hope you have had a great nights rest and now you are up, at 'em, and ready to face a new and wonderful day!
Our challenge today is a REAL challenge. In our lives, there is always some person in our community that is alone at Christmas time. Maybe their family lives out of state or they have no family at all. I challenge you today to take that $1.00 a day extra you spend on something and set it aside. Save it until December 14th. This should total $15.00. Then take this money and go purchase this person a Christmas gift. What to buy? Buy them something special. Something you know they will use. Maybe a gift card from the local grocery store. Maybe a subscription to the local paper. They will appreciate anything you buy them I am sure. As long as it is done in love, they will not care! I CHALLENGE YOU! I'm going to do this! I know who I will buy for already.
So! Who's up? What cha sipping on this morning? Me? I'm sipping on my Folger's regular this a.m. Bout to head out to Alabaster for my 2 year check up. I'm 3 months late with it! Say a prayer for my safe travels?
I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Thursday! Randall
What a testimony to the spirit of giving! I had never thought about doing something such as this but it is an excellent idea. Now who do I give to??? So many to choose from.
My tea is steeping in the pot as I write. It is raining here so I am putting off the wal****il a little later in hopes that it will clear up and be dry.
Good luck with your appointment, I am sure that you will clear with flying colors.
Everyone have a safe day and help others keep the reason for the season!
In his name,
Di
oh, Randall this is such an exciting challenge!! I know exactly who I am going to buy for. There is an older couple I know who have had a series of health problems that have taken up their extra income and are having a very hard time. They are so sweet. Thank you for this idea. It really adds something special to the season. Have a great day sweet Randall Hugs, Sandyd
