Shopping day coffee talk

Good Friday morning everyone! I trust that you are getting to sleep in today, but if not and you are heading out to shop, HAVE FUN! Our challenge today is to NOT overspend. Today is the BIGGEST shopping day of the year. If you are headed out to shop, be careful. Watch those buggie****ting your ankles. DO NOT SPEND TOO MUCH! Yeah, right! Just have fun and be safe! I am contemplating on heading to HHGregg today. Not sure yet. Don't wanna fight the crowd, but need some of their sale items. SO! Who's up? What cha sipping on? Me? Just getting around to starting my day. Sipping on a diet pepsi (yeah I know, first thing in the morning?) I'm not a coffee drinker but had a little soda leftover from Thanksgiving. No shopping for me today. I try to avoid the crowds like anything. We are almost done with out shopping, just a few more electronic toys for the kids. We start our shopping in January believe or not. It is so much easier to budget throughout the year. Even if we are unsure as to what we want to get for someone, we purchase a gift card earmarked in that persons name and either give the giftcard to them or use it for something we hear them say they want. Each month of the year we name it that persons month and purchase the gift cards. Sounds corny, but it works for us. Instead of spending today, I will actually be making money! I will be heading off to work here soon. This will surely keep me out of the malls! Be safe out there to all who end up shopping! Get the good deals! Di

Good morning Randall I promise not to spend to much today........I never shop on black Friday. I have most of my shopping done and the rest I will do gradually up to Christmas. I love this season and enjoy every minute of it so I like to spred the shopping out. Today I will start work on the Christmas Tree and decorating the house. It will look like a Christmas wonderland before I am through. First I have to take my granddaughter to the doctor because she might have strep throat. Say a prayer for her. Happy shopping to all. Good Morning Randall, It is easy for me not to overspend today. I AM BROKE!!! I may go to AC Moore, or Michael's and buy some yarn with a 60% off coupon. Can't resist more than half off. I am addicted to yarn. I have not started shopping yet, and am not sure what to do. Hugs, Trish

Good morning! I am sitting at work (shhhh! don't tell!), so I certainly won't be fighting the crowds and trying to get that next best deal for anyone. Which is really a good thing, because I have learned that my surgery may be anywhere between mid December to the end of January. Wooohoooooo! Without having a specific date, I have to be very wise about financial matters so that I have the resources available for my copay and any other WLS related expenses. Yesterday was one of the absolute best Thanksgiving Day's I have ever experienced. The boys and I just had some great quality family time all day long. I am glad I am not rushing out to spend money later, when what I really want is to just go home and spend more time with them. I am so blessed!!!!!
