Hi all! I am so glad I found this board. I would love to know if there were certain prayers-or things you were thinking about that helped you get through your fears about surgery and complications? My surgery is November 28th and it's very important to me that I find my focus and keep my faith. Thanks for reading! Peace, Therese

Here is a scripture that I meditate on whenever I felt afraid." So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. "- Isaiah 41:10 The passage is from the New International Version Congratulations on your ucoming surgery. It is also a very exciting time and you have a lot of changes to look forward too. I will pray for your uneventful surgery that will lead you to better physical health. I meditated on Psalm 139. God formed me and knows me inside and out. I am His creation, and my days are numbered by Him. I put myself in His hands everyday, and trusted Him for the outcome of my surgery. My youngest son, who is 24, expressed his fear for me by reminding me of the mortality rate of weight loss surgery patients. I told son that the Lord knows the number of my days, and I trust Him for this surgery. That thought has recently comforted me, as the Lord very suddenly took my 40 year old brother home four weeks ago today. I now take nothing for granted. God is in total control, and He loves each of us tremendously. Hugs, Trish

Jeremiah 29:11 and Ephesians 3:20. Read them...type them out and put on your doorposts or bathroom mirror and memoraize if you haven't already. The Lord is faithful to hear our cries and only He is able to answer them. He did me when I cried out for help with WLS. Read my profile for more info. Iin Christ, Joan M
