1st post /Praises and Updates

Well I am really amazed- things are so different for me these past few weeks- energy and strength I hadn't had in so long. Things I CAN do now 1. bend over and tie my own shoes and put on socks and tights 2. lift my arms over my head for more than a few moments at a time 3. push and wheel barrel of firewood and bend and lift it into area 4. SCRUBBED shower for the 1st time in 2 years ( hubby chore until now ) 5. ambulate off furniture with more ease and less need to have help or being pulled up 6. slightly sleeping better and less through the night urination!!!! AMEN!!! and many more things - these are tops on list First weigh in was 338 - then Dr Bock 334 then surgery Aug 24th at 320 and now Oct 31st 272!!!! PRAISE THE LORD Ok- I have to admit I am not drinkning nearly enough- at times I only eat twice a day - weekends are so so hard- I have admitted to my nutritionist that I get a cup of slim fast when I absolutely need a quick meal ..and it is at least once a week. Next appt with Dr Bock is Thanksgving week- this is going tobe very intersting as there is a function at a friends of ours home for 50 people- some of the families of our bus minsitry at church will all be there! I am truly excited to eat in front of poeple and its coming to me in stages- 1st time I cooked I made enough for 6 people so I called our Asst Pastor and his wife to come eat with us ( last minute invite ) this was the really 1st time I ate real food in front of real people- sot hings are getting easier WORST: yesterday I made 4 plates of cupcakse for the Harvest Party ( we do not celebrate worshipping the devil for Halloween ) yet we provide a safe place and minister to children who have a desire to gain Biblical knowlege and fun at the Harvest celebration - anyway I licked my fingers a couple time while icing them- YUCK YUCK so sweet and it only took three licks and about 5-10 mns I and I was experiencing a yuck tummy soemthing- NOT dumping but a odd feeling Thanks for allowing me to vent and share Blessings BRENDA ps. I turn 44 tomorrow AMEN!!! So blessed to live another year...merciful surgery has revived and allowed me to grow in HIM longer !

Brenda..so happy for you and it sounds like you are too. The Lord is so good to listen to our cries for help and yes, He does want us to be able to grow in Him and to serve Him as long as He desires. You are doing so great...keep it up. In Christ, Joan M
