Prayer Request

I have a heavy heart tonight. My son is getting married in September, in the St. Louis area. I live in PA. My mom is talking about not attending because of finances. She really has some bitterness toward my son for some reason. She has not attended any of his graduations, and she has attended all the other kids. She thinks my sons owe me something, which they do not. They are both young, hard working young men. They are not financially well off, as one is still in college, and this son in question is just starting his career and he lives in New York City, one of the most expensive cities in the country to live in. I just want to cry right now. I hate that my mom is such a bitter woman. I wish she knew the Lord. Thanks for praying. Hugs, Trish

Hi Trish! I will keep your son in my prayers. I can kind of relate in a way to how he must feel. When I graduated from college....no one in my entire family showed up...even though I had busted my butt...as a single parent working full time...and I graduated with honors despite overwhelming odds. I was so heartbroken...but I knew that God was with me...and had gotten me to where I was at that point...and only Him. Only God can change your mom's heart. I will pray for her also...as well as that you...will have the strength...to deal with everything. How is work going for you? Love, Stephanie
