Life is starting to get to me and I feel like giving up. I just dont understand why I the burden is so hard for me to bear. But I know that God is able(I just got to beleive it).

Brother, I know life gets hard. I have been there so many times. But, I also can testify that Jesus is able to get me through any storm. He didn't promise I would not get wet in the storm, or even a little tossed about. He just promised me that He would be with me through it and see me to the other side. Dig into the Psalms and notice how often David starts out complaining about something but ends up praising the Lord. But my favorite Psalm is 139. God knows everything there is to know about me and He saw all my days before I was even formed. God sees you in this trial you are in. He is with you through it. Read and trust His Word for it. Hugs, Trish

Brother Diamond, I'm new to the Christianity Board, but I couldn't leave without letting you know that God WILL take good care of you. The verse that carries me through every trial is "my grace is sufficient for you; for my strength is made perfect in weakness." 2 Cor 12:9. Just trust Him. It comes down to that one word: trust. Do not let life get you down. TRUST. Do not give up. TRUST. If you know, that you know, that you know.....TRUST! I don't know if you have time or interest, but check out this link to read a short booklet called "Surviving the Storms of Stress" published by Radio Bible Class (they're the ones that publish the "Our Daily Bread" devotionals). It was a real blessing that helped me put my trials in perspective. http://www.rbc.org/bible_study/discovery_series/booklet/31059.aspx Praying for your strength in the Lord, God bless!

Romans 8:31-39: What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things? Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth; who is he that condemneth? It is Christ Jesus that died, yea rather, that was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Even as it is written, "For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. This grand conclusion ought to stir our hearts and confirm us mightily in the Lord. Paul asks rhetorically in verse 31 what the conclusions of these things-- the fact that there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, that we are considered sons of God and thus co-heirs with Christ, that through our present sufferings we will reach the glory of the presence of God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ at the final revelation of the latter-- are to be. The conclusion is, simply, if God is for us, who can be against us? If God was willing to give up even His own Son for us, what would He refrain from giving us? If God is judge, and we are not to be condemned, we are to live and be justified. Christ, who sacrificed Himself for us and was resurrected, being both God and man, now mediates for us in Heaven. With such powerful allies, what can we possibly fear from the feeble powers of the earth and of evil? Can the sword separate us from Christ? Famine? There is no power that can break through the mighty hand of God, and no amount of force can change the grace manifest to us through His sacrifice and resurrection. Even if we are killed all the day long, our strength and resources poured out, and left for nothing, we still overcome through Christ and we still are in the love of Christ. As Paul establishes forcefully, no power on earth, below the earth, from times past or times future, no thing whatsoever can separate us from the love of Christ. The Christian must conquer. I will pray that you will be strengthened. In Love, Sandyd

Dear Brother - I felt that way also yesterday. I was so overwhelmed with my kids and their problems, our finances, my job - I felt defeated. I spent a good deal of yesterday crying and just wanting to be in Heaven with my Lord Jesus. But, I have to hold onto the FACT that He has a plan for me and His plan is good! It's hard sometimes - but I always come back to Proverbs 3 - Trust in the Lord, lean not on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways, and He will direct your path. Hang in there Brother - and I hope that as the sun rises this morning, you're refreshed with the love and mercy that flows abundantly from our Lord. ~Carolyn

Bro....Jeremiah 33:3 says "call upon Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things of which you do not know." God is not deaf to your cry....I was at a concert last night at Calvary Chapel of Blythwood, SC and it was Randy Stonehill a very famous Christian musician who has been doing music ministry for almost 36 years and one of the songs he wrote says..."Life is hard but God is good"...Jesus never said it would be easy but He IS always with us. Be careful at what you read, listen to during this time...the Enemy wants you to feel defeated...but God wants you to know that you are already victorious through Christ Jesus our Lord. "Father God, Who knows all things and sees the beginning from the end, please be with Bro and help him to see you as you truly are and to see himself as You see him, complete and perfect in the righteousness of Christ. Minister to Him as only You can do, In Jesus' most comforting Name, Amen... In Christ's love, Joan M
