Hi Everyone, Sorry I have not been around lately. Been really busy with church and also getting started on my journey with the insurance company and with the dr. It seems that my husbands insurance does cover me for surgery if it is for medical reasons. So I went to one of Doc Naaman's seminars and I am now in the process of trying to get all my medical records and items needed to submit to the doctor so they can send them on to the insurance company. I have left this in the hands of the Lord!!! I only want this if he wants it. I really do mean that. Now not to say that I would not be disapointed if it comes back with a NO! But I know that I want nothing more than the will of the Father. I will be having the "open" surgery which means they will have to go back through the old scar that I once had in 1982 when I had the stomach stappling and this means much more pain than I had hoped for. But then whatever the doctor says I respect. I am not sure what type yet, either the Roux-en-Y or the DS. I am wanting the DS, but I hear it is harder to get approved. So I will wait and see what Dr. Naaman says. Anyway just keep me in your prayers and I will let you know how things are going. My biggest thing is coming up with the supervised diet of which I do not have. But they said just get all the medical I can get that states that I have been obese the past 5 years. Also I am a bit concerned as my insurance only cover 60% after my 2,500 deductable. I am not sure if the hospital will let me pay the 40% that I must pay out, or if I will have to have that up front. The insurance company said there was no co-pay for the hospital just the deductable must be met. Anyone know anything about that? Dona

Good Morning Dona, I will be praying for your insurance to approve you. Mine approved in a week. I had open Roux-en-Y almost three weeks ago. I didn't have previous scar tissue though It is good that you have put this in the Lord's hands. He guided me through my entire procedure, and I was so blessed by all of it. God bless, Trish
