Friday coffee talk
Good Friday morning everyone! It's Friday! Time to get up and finish off this week! Well, for most of ya!
I went yesterday for my 2 year visit and I have lost 99 lbs. for a total since WLS. In all I have lost 133 lbs. I am so pleased. Dr. Sherer told me I better NOT lose another pound. I told him I'd like to lose a few more and he got irate. They did an untrasound and it showed no gallstones. He then sent me down for a HYDOScan (nuclear gallbladder study). They shot the dye in my arm that went through my pouch into my gallbladder. I got so SICK! It took them 1 1/2 hours to do that scan. Dr. Sherer believes I have a "diseased" gallbladder. If not that, it is spastic and contracts more than it should. I will know by Wednesday or sooner. He also ordered a complete blood work. We have to find out why I after I eat most foods. If I don't I get very nauseated. Maybe this gallbladder thing will be over soon. If I keep on, I will have a NEW body. EVERYTHING fixed! I do have a small hernia, but he isn't concerned with that right now. Just getting this other thing fixed. I LOVE Dr. Sherer and he is such an awesome Dr. Just thought I'd update you today. I'll let cha know more when I find out the results.
SO! Who's up? What cha sipping on? Me? I'm sipping on my Chocolate Velvet with Coconut creamer and sweet-n-low. Man! What a combo and it is awesome!!
I hope ya'll have a blessed, wonderful, and AWESOME Friday! Randall
Hi Randall....your scenario with the gall bladder reminds me of the experience I had. For years my gall bladder would "act up" and yet ultra sounds and even the nuclear study revealed no gall stones. Ultra sound just before my WLS again showed no stones present. One year after surgery I started experiencing nausea after every meal and some foods would cause textbook upper back pain in my r. shoulder My surgeon did a scope and all was good. The next step was the ultra sound ....the tech at first found nothing and then he started "flipping" my abdominal skin ( I know, very haha). With every "flip" the ultra sound showed multiple tiny stones "bouncing up and falling" ....none big enough to get into the duct, but enough little ones that "sludge' was the issue. Sorry, didn't mean to get so long and personal, but if it is your GB, you will feel so much better with it gone....
Have a good weekend. I'll be doing yard work but since it is raining this afternoon DH and I are gonig to try and find a good movie to go to......Hug those ((((( kids...)))))).
