I had a very heavy hurting heart when I came here tonight. I started reading the posts and started feeling so much better. Thank you to everyone that posts on this site. You have all really helped me. Fridays coffee talk and the answers help so much. My brother Went home to be with the Lord Wednesday morning. It was sudden and very unexpected. We knew he wasn't feeling well and wasn't taking the heat very good, but we didn't expect him to die. I know how much I hurt, but I feel so bad for his wife Elaine. They just got married 3 months ago. She is devestated. Through it all I have a peace that comes from the Lord. You see my brother started serving Our Lord about a year ago he was saved and baptised. There had been such a tremendous change in him~ you could see the Lord working in him and through him. Even though we're hurting so bad right now, I know my brother(Richard) is in a much better place right now surrounded by the love and peace of our Savior. No matter what each new day may bring~God is still in control, And God is so good! God bless you all, Annette

Oh Annette - I'm so sorry. The pain must be horrible. Knowing that Richard is with the Lord right now is wonderful, but the loss must till grieve your hearts. I pray that the Lord Jesus would touch your whole family with His comforting spirit. May you all receive the peace that passes understanding in this time. Praise the Lord that Richard had turned to him, and that he had the blessed assurances that were solidified for us on the cross. As you say - God is good - and His ways are not our own. May He use this sadness in a mighty way, for He can redeem any situation. God bless you and your family - especially in this time. ~Carolyn

Dear Annette I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your brother and wish I had some words that would comfort you. In all this pain you are suffering it must bring you great joy to know that you will see him again. A friend sent me the words to this song to comfort me one time in my distress and now I hope they will do the same for you. It is almost sung like a lullaby: gently, softly, reverently, soothingly. The title is "Savior and Friend." These are the words: Rest of the weary, Joy of the sad, Hope of the dreary, Light of the glad; Refuge from danger, Strength to the end, Home of the stranger, Savior and Friend. Wealth of the giving, Heart of the kind, Breath of the living, Sight of the blind, Path of the lowly, Crown at the end Bread of the holy, Savior and Friend. Son of the sighing, Lamp of the led, Prayer of the dying, Life of the dead; Be my Endeavor Unto the end; Love me forever, Savior and Friend. May they be a balm for your soul. Hugs, Sandyd

Hi Annette... Simple words don't really take away the hurt...I know.... I am so thankful that Richard knew the Lord, and that you can take comfort in the fact that he is now able to look upon the face of Jesus! What an amazing sight to see! I hope that his wife is saved as well. God will use this situation for His Glory...even though it is painful. You never know who might be saved as a result of this. If you need me for anything...I am just an email away. Love, Stephanie

Dear Annette, While the words may seem small, know that the Lord is able to comfort you. I am sorry that you are grieving as you are, but rejoicing in your brother's presence with the Lord. The Lord is able to ease your pain, and heal your heart at this time. I am praying for you and your family. Hugs, Trish
