Randall - Where's our Thursday AM Coffee???
(I'm getting spoiled...)
We had a lovely earthquake last night! Little rock n roll while we were at church. We were discussing how in the old testiment there are typologies of Jesus - and we're on Joseph. It was great. When Joseph reveals himself to his brothers, he does so in private - we should allow private time for the Lord to reveal Himself even deeper to us. When the brothers see Joseph they are afraid because of their sin, but Joseph says - come close to me. Then Joseph assures them that he is in Egypt not by their hands, but by the Lord, and offers forgiveness and love. Then - he tells them that the famine is not over - but has 5 more years, but that they will have provisions while they remain with him. So - we may be in a famine (living in Egypt/the World in it's darkness or otherwise), but as long as we abide in the Lord - we will have His perfect provisions!
Have a great one all! - Carolyn
I am very spoiled by the Morning Coffee Talk. I hope you are okay, Randall.
Carolyn,
I had never thought of Joseph in that way, and I appreciate you sharing that with us. I always like Joseph because of his steadfastness in waiting on the Lord. He is my favorite Old Testament character. Peter is my favorite disciple. I relate to him in so many ways. I am always sticking my foot in my mouth with the Lord.
thanks again,
Hugs,
Trish
