Hi Robin - I grew up in Carmel/Monterey, so it's my old stomping ground. We've gone to Spirit West Coast 3 times, and it's an awesome event. The music is fabulous, the speakers are amazing and annointed. Aside from our church camp for high schoolers, I can't imagine a better place for her to be. I hope that she doesn't just hide out at the campsite though. She's had so many great experiences there. One night - a late night show - Todd Agnew just unplugged his guitar, sat on the edge of the stage and just played and sang long past the end of the concert (Todd Agnew sings Grace Like Rain, just incase you're not putting the name with a song...). It's so personal there. Hearing Jeremy Camp talk about his little brother with Downs Syndrome and his ability to love without thinking about it. The testimonies - amazing. Thanks for your nice words and prayers! Is your daughter going to SWC? ~Carolyn

I am not sure if Stephanie will get to go. Don't know if the friends she is staying with are planning a trip there this year. Wow, I would have really enjoyed listening to Todd Agnew like that. Sounds really great. The next time we visit CA I'll have to plan around this time of the year so we can go to SWC. Robin

Hi Carolyn, I wish Spirit West Coast was there when I lived in Monterey in 76. I understand your pain with your son. My youngest went through a bout with heroin addiction and it was not pretty. It was around the time that my husband left me, and I was not at my best emotionally. That is how I gained the last 60 pounds five years ago. Keep on your knees in prayer, and pray for someone to come into your son's life who can guide him in Christ. Do you have Celebrate Recovery where you are? It is a Christian 12 step ministry that helps people with all types of addictions. It could be a resource for him. It's worth looking into. I am praying for you and your son. Hugs, Trish

Hello Randall & Friends, I'm single, no kids of my own, but I love being an aunt. I am taking my niece to the Mercy Me concert tomorrow night...it's a surprise. She thinks we are going shopping for school clothes since the concert is near a big shopping mall! I don't drink coffee, but I love iced tea...everyday. I'm trying to switch to water, better for the pancreas! Cyn

Good Afternoon Y'all! Well, once again I am late, but I am just glad for a chance to post. I love the challenge for the day. My daughter will be a bit lonely the next few weeks as her sister is away on a trip. So, I'll try to do something special for her several times over the next few weeks. This weekend I am trying to get to the beach. We shall see. Sipping more water today! I am proud of myself for getting down a full 20 oz glass. yay me. I did not exercise yesterday as my husband wanted to go out to dinner when I got home from work. We had Pizza Hut. I eat only the toppings off of a slice. Well, last night I tried two small bites of the crust and really paid for it. That bread swelled in my pouch and made me so full that I was nauseaous (sp) for an hour. (I am not able to throw up, think the opening is just too small.) So I waited for that to pass and was very glad when the feeling went away. No more bread for me! Have a very blessed day. Hugs, Robin
