Friday coffee talk
Good Friday morning everyone! It's time to get up and at 'em! It's almost the WEEKEND! WOO HOO! Kelsey and Tyler (niece and nephew) came to see me yesterday and begged to spend the night with "Big Daddy" (what they call me). They are already up and into Allison's shoes and playing with the dogs. Time to get going around here!
Our challenge today is to "STAND"! In all that you face, everything that goes on, and all of lifes troubles, STAND! Ephesians 6:14 tells us to Stand. After you have done your part. After you have done all you know to do. Stand. That's all we can do. Just wait on God. Don't lie down and accept defeat. Stand! As my quote says, "Be a victor, not a victim"! If you stand, you will be the victor! So just stand today. I know you can. Let go and let God! Things will work out for you and you will be ok!
So! Who's up? What cha sipping on this morning? I'm sipping on my 1/2 caff and enjoying the savor of it as I stand! God bless you and have a WONDERFUL day today!
Randall
Good morning Randall Your challenge this morning reminds me of a song we sing in church, Standing on the Promises of God. I think I will go around humming it to myself all day. When I remember all the ways God has told me that he cares for me and will never forsake me.....what do I have to worry about? I am off to make my sweet granddaughter breakfast and read our bible story. Have a blessed day.
Hugs, Sandyd
Hello everyone! I haven't posted here in awhile but thought I would join in today. I like the reminder to STAND. We just finished our VBS last night and the speaker taught on putting on the full armor of God. That goes along with Standing. When we are prepared with the Word, Salvation, Faith, etc. we have the power to stand on God's word and His promises. My husband and I are standing right now, waiting for a job offer to be completed for him. It's been a very trying few months looking for a job and waiting. The waiting is so hard. God is faithful and we are blessed. We just hope that the wait will be over soon.
I'm sipping on water! Haven't had enough this week so I am trying to really watch myself today and get in my water. We have worship practice tonight. This weekend I plan of having some quality family time since my girls have just returned from their grandparents for the past 4 weeks. I missed them so much. Maybe we will go to a pool or something and then the movies.
Have a fabulous weekend!

Good one! Stand. {{{singing}}} "and I stand, I stand in awe of You, I stand, I stand in awe of You, Holy God to whom all praise is due, I stand in awe of You!"
I'm sippin' on water. I really need to find a good decaf/sugar free drink for the mornings...
The heat wave broke here so I'm happy. I'm able to put the top down on my little vw without frying!
We're having a big fund raiser/yard sale this weekend for some friends who take the gospel to the inner city children in Racine Wisconsin. Please pray that our event would be blessed so that we can send blessings to those kids!!! Thanks!
Have a great one!

Oh Carolyn that is so cool. One of my students moved to Racine Wisconsin and I worry about her all the time. She comes back to Dallas once in a while and tells me how bad it is. Her and my daughter are best friends. She is like my daughter and we even have the same last name (pronounced the same). She just spells hers wrong. She always calls me Mama. Please remember her in your prayers, she has sickle cell anemia and is going next Tuesday for a blood transfusion. Her name is Samantha Ferris.
Bobbie Lynn
LOL - "she just spells hers wrong!" Bobbie Lynn - I will remember her in my prayers. If she is ever looking to get connected with a ministry there, my friends can use all the help they can get. They moved out there a couple of years ago cuz our pastor was going to start a church, but then he changed his mind and left them there - funny how God works! Well, they have a pretty big house on the lake and they just started having kids come over. Now, they have bible studies for these kids several times a week, with crafts, dancing, snacks, etc. My friends are not spring chickens - maybe 10 years older than me - I'm 44. So, this requires so much energy, but as with all things that are of the Lord, they have been supplied! The pictures and stories that we hear from them are astounding!
May God bless Samantha! May He heal her and use her in a mighty way for His Kingdom!!! Praise the Lord!

Good Afternoon Randall,
Standing is a good one for me too. I spent the day sitting in my car, as I drove from Pittsburgh to home, about 5 and a half hours. Now that I am home, I am disappointed that my niece, who took care of my cats, left my computer on, and my AC cold. I will not like the electric bill when I get it. Not to mention that when my sister was here during a power outage, her dog destroyed my door's paint and woodframe. Since I live in an apartment, I am responsible for the damage. She will have to reimburse me, as I must get it done right away.
Thank,s
